My family practices no traditions or any practices from your background. I am pretty much 50/50 norewegian and german and I feel there is something missing have no connections with my past. How could I go about learning more about these cultures back in the day and beliefs and practices. And how can I work that in my life? Does this make sense? I hope so. Just let me know if anyone has any input! Thanks

I found an ancestor, age 21 in 1870 and then never again in census records, so I assumed she died before 1880. Her daughter, age 3 in 1870 died in 1904 so she should have been on the 1880 at age 13 under maiden name, can't find her either. Found her two sibs living with grandmother, but know sign of her in 1880. Can anyone help me or give me an explanation?

I've tried most every genealogical resource I can think of and I've come up with nothing that I didn't already know, which is very little. What I do know is that Daniel Ulric Segrest was born on May 19, 1909 maybe in Oklahoma. Died September 22, 1997 in Comanche, Oklahoma. He was Married to Willie (Billie) Rebecca Sowell (Sewell), we know neither the date nor the location. She was born about 1920 and died about December 30, 1975. I don't know the location of either event. They had one child, my father, Phillip Herman Segrest, who was born April 30, 1936 in Comanche, Oklahoma and died August 28, 1991 in Cambridge, Ohio.
My father died a number of years before I was interested in this and my mother doesn't know anything about the Segrest side. I would appreciate any help from anyone, anything you might know.

My mom died when I was 16, and I was thinking about it, and realized in the days after her funeral I was so confused and alone that I don't think I ever read her obituary. I would like to try and find it but I don't want to pay all that money for one look up. Is there anywhere I can find one? Any serious help would be much appreciated!! Thank you.

George bush related to the Royals.
John Kerry related to the Royals.
Chenny related to Obama.
Obama Related to Brad Pitt.

I read about this stuff and there is this silent hint of success within a particular bloodline. It makes for fun reading but how do you feel about it. Also do you know of other examples?

I've been told Rebecca Hilliard is a second cousin to Nancy Hanks (wasn't she Pres. Lincoln's wife?) So I need Rebecca's parents to start on the search. If you can help me in anyway and lead me to proof of Rebecca being 2nd cousin, I'd appreciate it! First correct answer gets 10 points
