Found out I was adopted a few years ago & I know my birth mothers name & was wondering if I can find a copy of my real birth certificate to see who the father was? Is this possible?

Not likely. Genealogy web sites hide details of living people to protect their privacy. Some states have sold some birth data to Ancestry.com, but not much. The Internet is powerful but not all-knowing.

Most of the net was FREE... several years ago.. but now that so many people are surfing it..

they have put a price on everything.. !!!!!
So yes, the chances are u most likely could find them if u want to pay for it..

there are people who will do it for u.. or help u do it..
I am not sure of the name something like.... LOST PARENTS

Could u ask Ur adopt mom ... some of the info.. u need to search and would she tell u???
if u so Ur chances are good.. and I think u should..
I just want U to prepare Ur self..
be PREPARED regardless what u find out..
U need to be content.. with the results..
what ever U may find out..
so think about it before u do it..?

some times it is good, and then well .....
good luck, my friend,, and take care...

Sweetie, I'm not sure but I would think that knowing who your mother is a good start. Maybe there an Internet site somewhere that can help. But, I honestly do not know. Good luck with your search, though. ;)

If your birth mother has passed on, most websites would possibly list who she was married to and when. If she is still living and your father, too, all it would list is "Living Jones" or "Living Smith" with no dates or places.

Sometimes. So you know where you were born? That would help.
