I need to find proof that they were married and Hettie was their daughter. Marys parents should be Terry H. Melton, and Charlotte Brock. I hope I'm correct about this. Thanks for your help.

Hello. I was interested in learning the origins of the last name "Snyder." I've been told that it's of German origin. However, I have heard of people who were full blooded Irish with the last name Snyder. To complicate matters more, I had a relative named "Harry Gilmore Snyder," "Gilmore" being a name of Scotts-Irish origin. Everyone tells me he was German, but I find it hard to believe 2 immigrants from Germany would give their son an Irish middle name. I have come to the conclusion that either both his parents were Irish, or at least his mother was Irish and her maiden name was Gilmore. Is there any way to research this? We have his social security card, if that helps any. Any thoughts?

This is all I know, and I want to find out more about anything but im having trouble.

Benjamin Chamowitz was in the russian army and he was from Kiev.

My great great grandparents Philip and Esther Chamowitz walked from Melitopol to constantinople which took a month in 1897

They had three kids, Lena, Moris, and Julius who also walked, and then had Betty and Louis in America. Esther went back to russia to bring back her things (because she was apparently very rich) but was murdered there.

If anyone can find anything it would be much appretiated. Another name to look into is Bulgach. Thank you!

Im trying to find the best way to study my family history. How we came to America, Texas, where we came from, our history, just everything I possibly can. Whats the best way to do this, without just paying someone. It would be like a puzzle for me, and Im into that, especially with this kind of thing.

Any good resources, books, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Because a lot of the music from singers from Spain sound similar to Arabic. Like Flamenco. David Bisbal's music sounds Arabic a little bit.

I just moved to a town near Joplin, MO. As I was driving down a back road exploring I found this really old cemetery that was overgrown with weeds and falling apart. History is my life, especially preserving it. It really upsets me that people just let history fall apart like the cemetery. I want to clean and fix up this cemetery, to honor the people that are buried there, and make it so people can go to their ancestors grave sites and make rubbings of the tombstones. My question is where do I go to get permission to clean and fix up this cemetery? Like who in the city would I go to? And would they let a 17 year old girl do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
