There has been a long debate on whether or not my family is part spanish or not. Where can I go to find a DNA test to find out for sure.

For like $100 dollars you can send your DNA in to National Geographic and they can give you a full history of your bloodline.

"Explore your own genetic journey with Dr. Spencer Wells. DNA analysis includes a depiction of your ancient ancestors and an interactive map tracing your genetic lineage around the world and through the ages. "

My oh my! I can't believe the answers on here sometimes. Yes! you can tell if some of your ancestors are "Spanish" or not by a DNA test. There are different haplogroups that point to different regions; although the DNA test will not give you names, dates of birth and all that, it WILL most definitely tell you what part of Europe, the Middle East, the Orient, etc., your ancestors came from. E.g., if you have ancestors from Scandinavia, it will tell you if you are part Lapp!
The DNA test I used was from www.familytreedna.com. They sent me a kit, I swabbed the insides of my cheeks, sent the kit back, they sent me a written report and access to their website with matches, and a long list of "Recent Ancestor Origins" (think of modern countries). Yes, Spain was on my list! Which matches my paper trail. Family legend has it one of my ancestors back in the Colonies married an Indian Princess. By paper trail, I came up with the name of Mary Ann Twelve Doe. By DNA test I also come up with part American Native. There is a close connection between my paper trail and the results of the DNA test.
So, log into www.familytreedna.com, order your test and enjoy the results. Of course, there are other sites you can use.
One further suggestion: log into the National Geographics Genotype Program; it will show you the migration patterns of people based on genotypes.
At present, the most accurate way of determining WHERE your ancestors are from is by DNA.
I think it is strange how many people INSIST on the "Out of Africa" theory and then claim DNA doesn't indicate anything! To say the least, that is contradictory.

I dont think a DNA test could tell whether u have spanish blood or not. A DNA test will only tell u if u share the same DNA with someone else. (Like ur father) I dont think it can determine whether ur spanish or whatevers

You can't. DNA has nothing to do with the different "races". Your DNA could be more closely related to someone in Africa, Germany, or Australia...there is no such thing as "Spanish" DNA. Go to college and you will learn that.

You can't tell by DNA. You need to trace your ansestry. Even if you were from Spain your DNA might come from Moorish decent that occupied Spain for many many years.
