I have heard that in this poem, which is a retelling of the Bible in a storylike format, Milton describes "angels" as behemoth beings, giants, really. Is this true? I have no idea where to go to get a copy of this text, let alone the interest to read through something that must be VERY tedious. Please give as much detail as you can (a pertinant passage or two).

If you look at all the amazing book series and novels written over the centuries and in the past few years, what makes an amazing book to you? Consider the characters, setting, plots, styles of writing...what truly makes a great novel (in your opinion)? Word structure, opening and closing lines of a book, character personalities, genres....it's all important, but what matters to YOU?

Is it an archetypal image used in literature? What about Atwood's reference in her poem 'Red Shirt'?

When a person writes a story they have a title that they use. Well if that person changes it to something else, what is the term used for the old one? Do you know?

Hi! I'm Italian, from Sorrento, a little city near Naples. If you like Harry Potter, you had sure read the last book! Well, in Italy it will be in sale only from the 5th January! Grrrrrrrrr...
The Italian title will be "Harry Potter e i Doni della Morte", in English "Harry Potter and the Presents of the Death". You had read the 7th book? Did you enjoy it? Or now you are disappointed? Please, NO SPOILER!!
Thanks!

p.s: my favourite charachter is Luna Lovegood!

I need a new book, but I just don't know where to start.....

Ive just finished reading all the 'Odd Thomas' books by Dean Koontz and found them very enjoyable.....i would like to read something along the same lines but from a different author,

Something thats different and has a few twists, i don't just want a plain detective story.,

Thanks for any recommendations.....the best one gets the points.

How different is "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" from its American counterpart "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone"? Is the only difference the reference to the stone, or are there other cultural differences?

I mean in each following book, it seems she never seems to learn anything of worth from the previous books, still makes the same mistakes over and over?
This is just my take, I don't want to offend anyone who enjoys these books. I do like the ones Janet writes with the girl mechanic and her sometimes on again off again race car boyfriend.
