There is four books by Helen hopkins called
1. Impulse
2. Burned
3. Glass
4. Crank
Crank and Glass go together, but the other ones are on their own. They may seem long because there is alot of pages, but the words are in a short pattern type writing so it goes really quick. They are really good and your daughter will love them. Also the series starting with A Boy Called It by Dave Pelzer. True books that are dishearting but she'll apreciate her life .

I'm 13, and I like the book called,"Just another day in my insanely real life." It's a really good book.
Oh! And "Kiss my book." That was a good book too. It's about a girl who runs away to a small town after a tragity and finds romance, mystery, and excitment. It's awesome. :)

Try a book called "Sloppy Firsts" by Megan Mc...something. The sequel is good, too. Also, anything by Sarah Dessen. "The Truth About Forever" was my favorite.

anything by meg cabot like the princess diaries series, teen idol, all american girl series, how to be popular
then the sisterhood of the traveling pants books are good by ann brashares (i didnt like the 4th one all that much thought)
bras and broomsticks trilogy by sarah mlynowski was cute as well
