I always find it interesting to find an author's website that I know/don't know of. Can anyone name a few so that I can see if they actually have an official page or not?

I'm writing an adventure story. a sort of epic journey with characters that seem to be taken out of the 19th century period.
the name I got for the main character, who's an inventor, was Johnathan Harker.
This name shows up in Stoker's "Dracula". But it's written Jonathan, without an H.
I use the H, but it's read the same way.
Do you think many people would start reading my book thinking that it was a book about vampires?
Is this plagiarizing?
Could I still use the name?
The only thing that worries me is that people start reading with the wrong feeling about the story.
The story has nothing to do with vampires or evil lords.
It's basically a period piece/adventure.
Think "Journey to the centre of the Earth".

Hello all here are a ton of MORE questions about Harry Potter 7, I loved reading your answer last time so this should be fun:
Will the twins open a new joke shop in Hogsmeade?
Will Harry and the Ministry ever be on good terms?
Will Harry take and pass his apparition test?
Will we meet/have we met a descendant of Ravenclaw's?
Will Gryffindor's sword play an important part in book 7? (there was a person holding a sword on one of the covers)
Does Gryffindor's sword have any magical ability?(there was a person holding a sword on one of the covers?
Is there a Hogwarts graveyard and will this be of significance
Will Hogwarts be one school united against Voldemort or will it still be house against house?
Will we learn more about the Sorting Hat in the next book?
Will harry visit Durmstrang?
Who will follow Harry on his last horcrux hunt?
Will we learn more about Slytherin's locket and its background in book 7?

Happy answering...

Is there a publication or any books out there that specifically address the ART of entertaining or hospitality in the home? I have searched the internet diligently and have found nothing but books that offer up little tidbits of info amist many many recipes. I'm not looking for a cookbook and this really ticks me off! I would just like to brush up and fine tune what I already have to offer in the way of entertaining and hospitality. I've been given so many compliments on my home and hospitality I am beginning to think maybe I should just write the darn thing myself. If anyone can point me in the right direction or offer up a book title or series I'd be thankful.

I have some old books, between 30 and 70 years old. How do I get rid of that "old book" smell? Any other tips for keeping them in order without spending too much? No, I'm not going to be putting them in a climate controlled, tinted glass vault.

I'm looking for some book suggestions. I don't really care what genre (mystery, sci fi, non-fiction, anything!) as long as the story has great characters. I love when the characters are so well described and laid out that you feel like you know them and really care what happens to them. Thanks in advance! :)

Edgar Allan Poe was an influential writer in American history.

Can anyone think of a snazzy title that I could use for my paper?

In my copy of the book "The Sound and the Fury", there is a reference in the first few pages to an event in the 1940's, and even more references to the 1930's. The reference to the 1940's has something to do with World War II (the resitance or some such thing in France). How can this be if the book was published in 1929?
