Crime and Punishment (Russian: Преступление и наказание) is a novel by Russian author Fyodor Dostoevsky, first published in the literary journal The Russian Messenger in twelve monthly installments in 1866,[1] and was later published as a novel.[2]
Crime and Punishment focuses on the mental anguish and moral dilemmas of Rodion Romanovich Raskolnikov, an impoverished St. Petersburg student who formulates and executes a plan to kill a hated, unscrupulous pawnbroker for her money, thereby solving his financial problems and at the same time, he argues, ridding the world of evil. Written at fever-heat, Crime and Punishment is considered by many as the first of Dostoevsky's cycle of great novels, which would culminate with his last completed work, The Brothers Karamazov, shortly before his death.

Yes, Dostoyevsky - one of the best novels ever. If you read it, try to go on to read The Brothers Karamazov by the same author. Also, The Idiot. Oh dear - now I've got started! I think he is a great writer, and he had a very interesting life. At the moment I can't find the biography of him but it will be on Google. I wish I could discover him all over again. There is barely anyone writing nowadays who is that good. (Actually, I can't think of anyone).

that's between the main respected works of all time. you will not have a difficult time looking a critique of it on line. yet i'm going to warn against Sparks notes, Cliff notes, etc. the lecturers know those interior out and the opposite direction up. i might advise which you study numerous opinions, evaluate that on your adventure to the e book and placed it into your individual phrases. Plagiarism is a sin, and Sparks and Cliff inspire it a great deal.
