I'm looking for some book suggestions. I don't really care what genre (mystery, sci fi, non-fiction, anything!) as long as the story has great characters. I love when the characters are so well described and laid out that you feel like you know them and really care what happens to them. Thanks in advance! :)

"Odd Thomas", definitely! it's my favorite book, and all the characters are just great you'll fall in love with the main character almost immediately (Out of all my reading friends none of them can get past the second chapter without completely falling in love) but unlike many stories which only capture the love of the main character you'll end up loving all of the side characters as well, as an added plus there is a beautiful story line in which these characters inhabit! If you want to love, worry, or even cry for the characters your reading about, Odd Thomas is the book for you!

I extremely propose "The Mortal contraptions" sequence by ability of Cassandra Clare. they are fairly thrilling books that start up out as an action e book, yet as you get somewhat extra in the e book, the two considerable characters demonstrate their emotions for an extra, that's in the 1st e book "city of Bones", on the top of the 1st e book, there's a spectacular twist which leads into the 2d e book. in the 2d e book, the two considerable characters are suffering to comprehend and take care of the twist that happens in the 1st e book. the entire time, besides the undeniable fact that, the girl, Clary, is combating to save her mom, and the boy, Jace, is combating demons and his dad. It has many plots with the aid of the books (six books in finished, 4 already released). that's between the excellent and pretty addictive sequence I certainly have EVER study. they are additionally making a movie out of it, so while that's released you are able to declare you study the books. you're able to truly evaluate them. and that i does not have written this long of an answer if i did not love the books lots. you're able to truly verify them out! you would be happy you probably did heavily! And Jace is precisely the character you merely defined. you will realllyyy like those books, i will tell!

The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan

My bf gave me the first two for Christmas. As soon as I finished them I almost panicked because I didn't know what was going to happen to Rand and the other characters. I went book shopping the next day.

The Memory Keeper's daughtr by Kim Edwards. You change how you feel about almost all of the characters by the end of the novel. My Sister's Keeper, Harvesting the Heart and Perfect Match by Jodi Picoult are similar in that regard that you come to really know her characters and are sad when the book ends.

Two of my favs and a short description:

Dana's Valley (kind-of a sad story) by Janette and Laurel Oke
Tells the story of a family's ups and downs as they cope with the older daughter's leukemia

Thr3e (suspenseful psych thriller) by Ted Dekker
A man gets a phone call telling him that he has three minutes to confess his sins or his car will blow up. It blows up.

I remember after I finished reading "The Stand" by Stephen King that I missed the characters. Found myself wondering what they might be up to.
