Hi. I've read somewhere that indeed the sorting hat will play a significant role. But it is not a Horcrux, I think.
As for the rest of the questions, I really don't know, we'll just have to wait for a couple of months! We've been waiting for ages, so it's just a little bit more.

Yay, more questions!!!
Will the twins open a new joke shop in Hogsmeade?
I don't think that this will happen, unless JK does an "Epilogue" at the end of book seven because if you recall, a lot of parents are not sending their children back to Hogwarts following the Death Eater attack and Dumbledore's death. They may open one after the school reopens (since McGonnagol mentioned that she doubted the school would open anyway following the events), but not while their best customers aren't within walking distance.
Will Harry and the Ministry ever be on good terms?
They could be on good terms if the Ministry would quit attempting to make him a figure head for "look how well we're doing". Basically if they stop trying to USE him, it is possible for a respecting relationship to evolve.
Will Harry take and pass his apparition test?
For convenience purposes, I think that Harry will take and pass the apparition test. I don't think it will ever be his favorite mode of transportation, don't think the broomstick will be collecting dust anytime soon, but I do think he will become licensed to help with his hunt for Horcruxes.
Will we meet/have we met a descendant of Ravenclaw's?
Ok I'm confused on this one, blame the fact that seeing Snape kill Dumbledore makes rereading the sixth book painful, because I thought that we did meet a Ravenclaw descendant in there. Wasn't she the one with the sweet house elf who entertained Riddle?
Will Gryffindor's sword have any magical ability? (The person holding it on one of the covers was Harry, wasn't it, from Chamber of Secrets)
I think other than allowing only true Gryffindors to wield it, there isn't other magical ability in the sword. Not an excalibur as it were.
Is there a Hogwarts graveyard and will this be of significance?
I don't think there is a Hogwarts graveyard. The only Headmaster who was entombed there, or who has a tomb there seems to be Dumbledore.
Will Hogwarts be one school united against Voldemort or will it still be house against house?
Seeing as there were many different houses involved in Dumbledore's Army during Order of the Phoenix, I think we'll see a similar effort against Voldemort. While most people might assume that Slytherin will be rushing to fight on the side of darkness, we have to remember that not EVERY Slytherin is evil.
Will we learn more about the Sorting Hat in the next book?
I don't think so, seeing as I don't think the school will open so there won't be a need for sorting.
Will Harry visit Durmstrang?
Possibly, after all, the former headmaster there was a former Death Eater.
Who will follow Harry on his last Horcrux hunt?
Ron, Hermione, and possibly Neville, Luna, and Ginny.
Will we learn more about the Slytherin's locket and its background in book seven?
Most definitely. That is the mystery that's been carried from book six, who is RAB and where is the horcrux that should have been in the locket? (RAB is Regulus Black, I just FEEL it)

This is indeed a happy happy question!
The twins will open a new joke shop everywhere, but I think they will be rather busy with keeping alive and fighting the war in Book7.
Harry and the Ministry will only be in good terms when Mr Weasley (or some other Order member) becomes Minister.
Of course, Harry will pass his Apparition test, but I don't think he will even go through with that formality. He is a busy busy man, and an angry man, too. Busy and angry men don't take time for tests.
A descendant of Ravenclaw, who can tell? And no connection to the plot either. With only 860+ pages, we'll be lucky to be led to that curve. I'm hoping Hermione might be.
The sword----It was not a person holding it, but an elf. Look closely. It is either Dobby or Kreacher. The sword is surely powerful, it belongs to a wizard after all.
Hogwarts graveyard?
And house against house? Look at Dumbledore's Army. Slytherin certainly has the baddies, but not all of them will be on the Dark Side.
The Sorting Hat will be lucky to have another appearance and song.
We are hoping to see all the Wizarding institutions ever mentioned. So far, we have been to St. Mungo's and the Ministry. Remaining are Azkaban and other schools.
The last horcrux is Voldy himself. And he will be alone by then. He will not allow Ron and Hermione to be with him in that battle, and hopefully, the other DE's are dead as well.
Slytherin's locket is a Horcrux. So yes, it will be in the limelight.
I had fun but these were rather dull compared to the other discussions going on in the HP fan sites. Check them out, hon.

1/ twins' new shop? After the final battle. They'd want to see in Hogwarts is open for students.
2/ Harry & Ministry? I don't think it is high on Harry's "To-Do" list. He has no political ambitions
3/ Apparation Test? Yes, maybe with Ron's second attempt.
4/ Ravenclaw? Some well known *Ravenclaws ...
- Moaning Myrtle (ghost in girls bathroom)
- Penelope Clearwater (Percy's old girl friend)
- Roger Davies (Quidditch captain / Fleur's date to the Ball)
- Cho Chang (his first kiss / DA member)
- Marietta Edgecombe (x-DA member / she snitched to Umbridge)
- Padma Patil (but her twin is in Gryffindor)
- Luna Lovegood (Mother is dead. Father owns the Quibbler)
5/ Sword? Harry got his inheritance from Sirius at the start of the following book. Maybe he inherite the sword from Dumbledore. It's role? Depends on extra powers Gryffindor put in a Wizard's sword.
6/ Magic in sword? Seems likely. It would have been easier to carry a sword 1000 years ago, than a wand to defend yourself around muggles
7/ Hogwarts graveyard? No. JKR vetoed headstones in the POA movie. It became the pumpkin patch instead.
8/ Hogwarts or individual houses? It will have to be the school. Slytherin has Slughorn as head now Snape left.
9/ Sorting Hat? Yes. the 4 founders are the key to a lot of the background story, and the 1000 year old hat holds a lot of secrets.
10/ Drumstrang? I hope Harry goes to Voldemort's old European touring area. The Dragon santuary especially (if Voldy hid Horcruxes with things he thought scared others, there and the giant spider's lair would be good places). Drumstrang likes caution when dealing with students form other schools
11/ Who goes Horcrux hunting? Harry, Ron, Hermione. Aberforth Dumbledore may help. Krum may help in Europe. Draco, if his mum or dad dies, may do a RAB trick and help as well.
12/ Locket? We'll see it and destroy the Horcrux inside, but not much more ... just like the Ring

1) Fred and George won't open a shop in Hogsmeade - there's too much going on and after DDs death not many people will be back at Hogwarts
2) The MOM has done too much to Harry for him to ever be on good terms with them
3) He'll have to pass his apparition test otherwise it's gonna be hard for him to travel about as much as he wants to. He can already apparate so he shouldn't have a problem
4) Not too sure - we haven't met many Ravenclaws
5) It will be important as the Horcruxes all deal with the founders of Hogwarts and this is the last surviving relic of Godric Griffindor
6) Not particularly
7) There isn't a graveyard in Hogwarts - if you remember DD was the 1st to request being buried there.
8) The school will unite against Voldemort. I think Draco will play a big part in this
9) I think we'll find out how the sorting hat knows so much and why it's so important
10) Nup
11) Hermione and Ron (unless one of them is dead by then)
12) Yes, definitely! Slytherin's locket is a major theme in the horcrux story

Well, if something happens to the other one then of course. Fred and George are very attached to their dreams. That's why I love them so much.
If Harry ever defeats Voldemort then the Ministry will probably respect him a lot more.
Harry is a very great wizard. I think that he will definitely manage to pass his test.
If by "descendant" you mean "member" than yes. There was Cho Chang. But I don't know exactly what you mean.
Harry might use the sword to help him defeat Voldemort.
The sword helped Harry defeat the basilisk in the second book. Maybe it will help him again.
Possibly...
I think that no matter if Voldemort is defeated or not, the houses will always be rivals. Not to mention that the Slytherins will probably be mad that Voldemort is gone.
The sorting hat might sing a song about Voldemort again.
Hermione might go to visit Durmstrang (for Viktor Krum) and Harry and Ron might go with her.
I think that his friends (and maybe the DA) will help him. Neville might go along with him since he has a past that sort of has to do with Voldemort, too.
You will probably learn about everything that you never knew in this book, it being the last and all.

I hope the twins open up a shop in Hogsmeade that would be cool!
I doubt that the ministry and Harry will ever be on good terms, Harry doesn't like rules very much. But it might be nice if they did but I wouldn't count on it.
Most likely he will pass his test, because it's Harry, he seems to be a wiz when it comes to magic. Plus he hast to, it would just help so much when fighting Voldemort.
We probably have met a descendant of Ravenclaw's it will just be revealed. Wouldn't it be cool if it was like Ron or someone like that. Maybe Luna.....?
Yes Gryffindor's sword has magical ability, look at what happened in the 2nd book. It might play a role in the 7th, but I don't think it is that important.
I wouldn't think that there is a graveyard at Hogwarts, except for well, Dumbledore. But I think he is still alive but that is just me, I also think that Sirius is still alive too.
It could be all the houses united except for slytherin, I don't think that they will ever get along there. But the other houses for sure will be united.
The sorting hat? we might learn about it, but I thought we know pretty much about it. Maybe though...that would be cool, I like the sorting hat, it songs are fun!
Why would Hrry go to Durmstrang? What would be the point? He might go there to try and get help though, but I don't think so.
Ron, Hermoine, Ginny, Luna, Nevil, Fred and George maybe the usuals mostly. Ofcourse there could be bad people following him too, like Snape, Malfoy. Who knows?
Ofcourse will learn about the locket! That comes with the book, it is one of the many i's that must be dotted and t's that must be crossed. I think it is the one that they found at Black's house....but we'll just have to find out.

That's a lot of questions...so I'm going to give short answers!
I don't think its the right time; they'll probably have other things to worry about. And even if Hogwarts does reopen the students won't be allowed down to Hogsmead, so no business.
No.
Yes, probably with Ron.
I don't know, haven't given it any thought...guess I'll wait and see.
Looks like it will be involved somehow...and it looked like a house elf to me.
Again...I don't know, I'll wait and see.
I don't think so, at least it wasn't on the map.
It depends on if it reopens! And if it does, who returns. Some element of the rivalry will probably still be there, may be the other houses will be suspicious of some of the Slytherins.
Maybe we will learn something from it about Voldemort, Lily or something else.
I don't think so...is there anything in the book that suggests Voldemort would have some personal link there?
Ron and Hermione look like they are keen to follow...Ginny might try to join in as well...Luna and Neville will probably put in an appearance at some point. But will their parents/the order try to stand it their way? Maybe they will be tagging behind too...Harry's guard, etc.
Yes.
Good questions! 10 weeks to go...well at midnight

I would have to say it is a toss up between the sixth and the seventh. I like that Rowling's writing had matured, and she delves into the characters much more intimately and emotionally. I will definitely agree that the movies have tainted my perspective a little, but I love the books so much that I've decided to just not watch the movies anymore. I do the like the first book as well, because no matter how many times you read it, it's always as magical as the first time you ever cracked it open. Then again, it's a brilliant series all around. I just wish Rowling would write more, about the lives of Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny after adulthood.
