Personally, mine is Dorothy Parker. But who is yours, what poems have they written, and why do you feel they convey their feelings best in poetry? Just wondering.

I'm writing a book (6 chapters so far). I was stuck in my character's flashback for a while but finally simplified it by skipping details at the end. The flashback was four chapters long and now I'm back in my character's present time. My 2 questions are 1.) should I just make the Flashback one big chapter and make the other chapters ACTS, or is that strictly for theatre and plays? and 2.) Do you think four chapters is too much for a flashback?(I think so..LOL)

Thanks!

I'm thinking about getting a typewriter but I really need to know more about them--what kind of ribbon do I buy? What kind of ink do I buy? Does it matter? Are they heavy? The one I'm looking at says nothing but 'JACK KEROUAC TYPEWRITER 8 X 10 Photo Beats Ginsberg etc' and I don't know what that means either. Can anyone help me?

Please number them and make sure I can see which are the books and which are the authors. When writing the books can you also give me who wrote it. Thanks!

For all those wondering, I like anything fiction and I'm 16 but love to read books with over 1,000 pages. So don't let age limit your answers, if it's fiction and you like it write it down and if there's a nonfiction book you like I'll give it a try.

I've always loved the story of Rapunzel. But I had other favorites as well (i.e. Cinderella, Beauty & the Beast, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and The Little Mermaid [Disney Version]). But my number one favorite was Rapunzel. Although, I often imagined I was the prince in each of the stories. But I would often imagine that I was Rapunzel's prince charming.

Anyways, I'm just reminiscing.

I asked this because I had a very interesting discussion with a diverse crowd of mothers who objected to "The Witches".
These were all professionals, one was French, one was Jewish, one was African American, one was Pakistani and they raised some really good questions. They weren't offended but they brought up the issue of profiling.

I am doing a presentation in my Tolken and Philosophy class about the comparison between Odysseus (The Odyssey) and Frodo (Lord of the Ring). The comparisons can be about their characteristics, their journey, their struggles, ETC. What should I be looking for so I can better my presentation? Do you have any suggestions and ideas for the presentation? Also, any quotes from either book(s) would be of great help.

Mine is L. J. (Lisa Jane) Smith because she wrote my favorite books, which were the very books I wanted to write someday just so I could read them.

Do you think there are enough fantasy adventure books out there with strong female protagonists? I don't really think so. Most of the time the females are airheaded, weak, vague or too sexually oriented. What's your take?

I have the images and can do the layout, I just need it mass produced and distributed. Not sure how that is done, whether it is like a book where you submit it to a publishing company or some other way. Thanks!
