Ok does anyone know of a book like Tailchaser's Song? I love the book but it seems like a one of a kind sort of thing where I'll never find a book like it. Please tell me if you know of a book that is about animals and is kind of like it. I really don't know how to get any more detail, I'm havin a hard time figureing out what I really like about it.

Lately Ive been reading the classics. I just finished The Catcher in the Rye, WHICH I LOVED!!!! Im reading Catch 22 right now.....half way through IDK....its not really sparking my interest. Its good writing just, kind of boring. Ive read 1984 about a billion times! Ive read lots of Orwells books, Animal farm a lot of his short stories....Anyways I just wanted you to know what I like, and I was hoping that you could tell me about a book that you've read, that you liked, thats in the same category. Im really open to genres too, I read Go ask Alice a couple weeks back. What a trip! I loved that too. Anyways thanks guys.

I can't get enough of Robbin Hobb aka Meagan Lindholm. Are there any other fans out there? What is your favourite story and why? Personally I can't get enough of Fitz and the Fool.

I was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction of some good African-American authors? I am looking to read some books that talk first-hand about the struggles that African-Americans have had to endure in regards to racism and prejudice in this country. I am about to read James Baldwin's "Go tell it on the mountain" which I have heard great things about. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance and God bless.

Anything goes, though I think we all know there are just certain songs (Hit Me Baby One More Time?) that inspire nothing. Suggest good songs and/or groups. Thanks!

Maybe its just me, but I always spend AGES finishing one. I write, if I'm in the mood, just about as fast as I read books - and that's about 20 pages per hour, the paperback ones, small print and small format of paper. Still, it takes me generally 3 years to finish a short story that would be about 100 pages, and 5 years to finish a manuscript that would be about 400 pages.
I put my heart and soul into those stories, and after I've finally finished them, despite my desire to share my fiction with the world, I decide its not good enough and needs too much correcting, and it ends up in the bin. (the short story still needs reviewing of the last part)
Many of my manuscripts have ended up in the bin like that, and while I once had a good thriller and suspense, and a couple of movie scripts to my name, I'm now left over with my most recent projects; 2 fantasy stories and a horror short story, which is finished.
I hear most writers need at most a year. What is wrong with me?

what do u think will happen? i personally think snape's still good, and dumbledore's really dead, but will help harry through the portrait in the headmaster's (well now headmistress') office. and i know there's a lot of evidence to support him bein alive still, but i think he just should be dead. so please dont give me some LONG explanation of why he's not dead. and i think it would be kinda cool if harry died. ive always wanted a story to end with the bad guy winning. cause it always ends with the good guy winning, and i just want somethin new. and im not sure if RAB is regulus black or not.
