Does anyone know anything about old history books? This one is so old that it is sowen together with thread. And it says its copyrighted in the 1800's. It tells about each state but there were only 34 or 36 states. And tells about each president's birth and death. Any idea how much it is worth? Does copyrighted mean the year it was published, or is it a reproduction? I think it is only about 8 inches tall and 1 inch thick. I would apprieciate any help.
Thank you

I used this poem in High School that was about two mountain climbers. Two males and they climbed up to this peak that looked like a Giant Finger and then one of the men fell off the mountain side and injured himself. His friend then pushed him farther off the mountain to kill him all the way and then he climbed down and left.

I have been trying to find this poem again but without any success anyone know the name or author!

I have alot of films with them in it but in a book who is classed as a femme fatale?

Scarlett O' Hara? I already have her in the Manipulative/Scheming category (My sister loves her for it).

I have all the ones in the Raymond Chandler books as well.

I am writing a book (for fun) and I did search the internet, but did not find the stuff I want. Can you tell me about the wild west, the outlaws, what they did, were they hunted, what type of guns they used, and some names for people back then girls and guys names. And anything else that may come to good help in my book, about the wild west, and outlaws.
Can my story take place in Texas? and also, about what time did it take place

To all such 'Wuthering Heights' must appear a rude and strange production. The wild moors of the North England can for them have no interest: the language, the manners, the very dwellings...must be to such readers in a great measure unitelligible, and- where intelligible- republisive; (Charlotte Bronte 1850) How far do Charlotte Bronte's words go in explaining the hostile reception 'Wuthering Heights' recieved on its publication in 1848? Examine why the book failed to ignite the interest of readers in 1848.
Please help.
Thank you.

I am reading Everything's Eventual at the moment (the short story of that name) and I am enjoying it very much. The writing flows very easily and does not seem so mechanical and filled with awful similes as some of the other stories in that collection, esp. Little Sisters. Can anyone recommend any really good Stephen King books so I don't have to wade through the bad stuff? And if they're Dark Tower related, the better! Thanks

I'm reading John Grisham's 'The Innocent Man'. Just curious who else has read it. If so, did it change how you feel about the death penalty? About the criminal justice system in the US? How much stock can be put in 'true crime' writing?
Just curious what other Y!A users think! Thanks!
