I want some honest critiques on it. I made some changes to it that someone suggested but I'm not sure if this more polished version is better or takes away from the mood... all opinions are welcome but it'd be good to hear from someone educated in the matter bc I don't even know what this style is called and I'd like to know. thanks....

Your black is so beautiful, trimmed in that gold

Your life so short, your story should be told

Elegance of motion, when you take to flight

Regal dignity is what you bring to light

Places your ancestor's once called home, meadows and fields

soon shall be gone

Your kingdom is now made of concrete and stone

Serenity I yearn to see you so close, to fly by your side is

what I wish the most.

[I'd like to leave it open to interpretation but black and gold refers to a butterfly and concrete and stone may have to do with where it was written- in a cold prison cell (I thought I'd save that for after you read it)]

i asked if anyone noticed the mistake in book five with the thestrals in harry potter... i dont mean because he saw his parents die, i think since he was a baby and doesnt remember, it doesnt really count.

at the end of book four, AFTER he has seen cedric die, there is a comment made about harry seeing the "horseless carriages." at the beginning of the fifth book he can see them, because he had seen cedric die. so WHY cant he see the thestrals at the end of book four, after he had seen cedric die??

My mother told me today that my grandfather wrote a poem that was published before world war I . How would I go about locating it? Or is this even possible. My family is not good at keeping records or holding on to keep sakes. I write poetry, and only today did I find out so did my grandfather.

I have alays wanted to publish a book and want to start writing but I don't want to waste my time if I never get it published. It will be a sort of life coaching book for young women looking to get married, not a novel. Anyone out there with experience on this subject?

The worst book I've ever read was:

"The Fountainhead" By Ayn Rand.

It was so horrible, I hated it with passion! It had extremely out-of-the world right-winged ideas of objectivism and extreme atheistic beliefs (*I have nothing against atheism, but I thought the author was way over the top with it), which I found really sickening. Ayn Rand siphons one's optimism and the true meaning of life down the drain, leaving you with the bleakness and monotony of the world. I got a major headach just reading it! I knew I was reading a landfill of garbage. Two words I would use to sum up the whole book would be: H U M A N G A R B A G E!

I was looking on Amazon.com for the Little Prince and I saw that there was a sequel written by the niece of Antoine de Saint-Exupery, Ysatis de Saint-Simon. I bought it, but I didn't like it because it was almost the same as the original. It had the same format, but different ideas. She talks about how she met the Little Prince in the same exact place as her uncle did, and the story goes on almost in the same way that the original did, except that the Little Prince wants to help people to be, to exist and enjoy life. Has anyone else read it? What did you think of it?

Im looking for a book for a relative. He said he read it a few years ago but cant remember what it was called. It was basically about one or more of hitlers spies whose spirits could leave their bodies and then they could enter the allied forces bases and find out their secrets and military strategies. Any body heard of this?
