Earth Abides. Great old post-apocalyptic sci-fi. Thought provoking, especially as it was written in 1949 or so.

I love books, but I find it to be a rather expensive habit to feed. I am a voracious reader and I can go through a book in a couple of hours. So I find fanfiction to be a great alternative to buying so many books. Though do not get me wrong I still purchase many books. My favorite author is Mercades Lackey.

I think you'll like Kissing Doorknobs, which is about OCD. The Kite Runner was really sad, but I LOVE My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult even more. That one's aout teenagers, I think you'll like it a lot. And then there's Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes. <3 I love those books. But yeah, I highly recommend My Sister's Keeper.
