Who here is sick and tired of every body making such a big freaking deal over Harry Potter? I love the books, but I'm still Christian. Its a fiction book for kids, for god sakes. People need to lighten up and shut their mouths! Whos with me?

I read a lot of books & I've kind of ran out of books to read!
I just finished "The Coldest Winter Ever" by Sister Souljah and am on to "She's Not There, A Life in Two Genders" by Jennifer Finney Boylan...I'm almost done with it though, and I desperately need to find another book before I finish that one...

Any suggestions?

I recently started writing a novel in which one of the major characters is supposed to be a famous singer/songwriter. In the book the character of “Eddie” writes a song that he later records and it becomes a huge hit. If I should get this book published, do you think I should write and record the song as an add-on to the book? As a hobby, I also write songs and my cousin has a recording studio. Would you as a reader want to hear that song (or other “Eddie” tracks)? My only concern is if the song turns out to be okay in my mind, but not very good in other peoples mind, will that take away from the validity of the book? Would it be less realistic that “Eddie” was really a famous singer/songwriter if the songs were just average at best? Or would it help to create a real world feel to the book and make the character more tangible and relatable? I was thinking of either encluding a CD with the book, or putting the songs on iTunes. Something like that. Your help is greatly appreciated

I used to love it when I was younger but I forgot the title. The story is fairly similar to Cinderella but the characters are Native Americans. The evil sisters tortured the "Cinderella" of the story by making her sit by the fire and she wore rags and bandages and had scars. Instead of trying on a shoe, the girls were asked questions about the invisible "prince" they wanted to marry. The "Cinderella" answers all the questions correct and in the end, the prince let's her take a bath in some magical pond or pool, and it washes away all her scars. I would love it if some one could give me the title of this story....

Take your pick, kids' or adults', whatever!

For the record, I'm a big fan of Royal Jelly (not one to read while pregnant or breastfeeding), Skin and William and Mary. I'd love to remain with just a brain and an eyeball!

I also like Matilda and I used to *love* Fantastic Mr. Fox when I was little :-)
