The book was about a girl in the hospital with a broken leg--as far as I can remember. I broke my leg when I was younger, and a relative bought the book for me. I remember really liking the book, and now a young relative of mine has broken her arm so I was looking for the same book to give to her. Any ideas or suggestions would be good. Thanks!

I have finished my book but am having a hard time procurring an agent. The book itself has enjoyed great review from multiple sources however, I find it hard to sum up a 100,000 word book into 100 words or less as per the request of most agents.

I am an Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran who decided to give a different perspective on the world at large to include: The President, government, religion, international affairs, current events, a slight bit of history, and of course the war. Though the book itself makes complete sense when read, I find it hard to summerize something with topics as vast as this. I am convinced that it is my marketing of the book and am wondering if there is any advice or recommendations that a writer could give, perhaps even take a look at my work that might help me in my quest.

NOTE: All work is copyrighted.

What's the name of the author and the title of the book? Is it good? Could you perhaps write a short synopsis on it? I'd appreciate all the help I can get. =)

When people asked me to name my favorite books from when I was a child, I could say without even thinking "The Giver" by Lois Lowry and "Singularity" (I don't remember the author). The images of these books stuck in my mind for years. They had such an impact on me.

I had been thinking of them lately and decided to read both of them again, and much to my disappointment, they were definitely not as amazing the second time around. I wish I hadn't read them as an adult, and had just left the memories of the books alone.

Any similar stories? Did you enjoy re-reading your childhood favorites or were you very disappointed?

I have read it many times and it is probably my favourite ever, yet nobody I've spoken to has ever read it too.
If anybody on here has read it what are your thoughts?

I've recently become a fan of JG's books and have, so far, been happy with my decision. I read "The Brethren" and "The Client" back-to-back in three days! I just started reading "A Time To Kill" tonight and I'm having a problem. Why does he insist on using the forbidden racial epithet for African-Americans so rampantly in the book? I can understand that he might be trying to set the mood of the characters and the town, but the word seems to appear just a little too often. Am I just being an overly-sensitive West Coast hippie, or does anyone else share my concern? Also, does anyone know of a way to contact him directly; either through email or snail-mail? Thanks.
