I have an idea .........?

for a movie, I know I have great Ideas but just the thought of writing them seems daunting even though I usually love to write. Where do I start??

you should start by reading other movie scripts. after reading many of them you will start to understand how to write a script. it is way different than writing a short story or novel.

there are also great books out there about writing scripts. try to read one by Syd Field.

Writing a screenplay is alot different from writing a book or a short story. There is alot more that goes into it. Such as character motivation, stage direction, that kind of thing. I would suggest writing it as a story first. Then get assistance on putting it in screenplay form. Good luck.
