I don't know if this is quite what you're looking for. But there is a very reader-friendly (written for young adults) guide to the Bill of Rights that examine I would say dozens if not hundreds of court cases and explores how the law has been applied through the centuries. The name of it is A KID’S GUIDE TO AMERICA’S BILL OF RIGHTS: CURFEWS, CENSORSHIP, AND THE 100-POUND GIANT (Avon, 1999) and it is by Kathleen Krull.
