i hear people talking about books such as the "harry potter series" and how they should be added to the list of banned books. i want to see what books are on the list and read them myself to see what is so bad about them.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with them.
You would be surprised to find what books have been censored and/or banned.
Even Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer have been dropped from Libraries, banned and censored due to racial content, although the book reflected the true tone of the real times.

I don't have an exact website for you but if you do a searching for either a specifically banned book or a search for a list of banned books then you will get a complete search for a number of various websites that will have the information that you are looking for. I have looked for banned books this way many times.

I believe that if you got to the National Library Association you can find the list.
