There's something awfully cosy and exhilarating about Agatha Christie. An odd combination, but somehow it works very well with coal fires, afternoon tea and wintertime... Or is that just me?

I am addicted to books! I cannot go a whole day without reading at least 1 page from a book, and everytime I walk by a bookstore, I am tempted to go in and buy books...Bookstores and books are like drugs to me! I spend a lot of money on books, and I just can't help myself! It also takes away from my studying because, instead of doing my homework and studying, all I do is read or think about reading! There are about 3 bookstores on my college campus, & whenever I have some spare time, I go to one of them & sit there reading!

Any suggestions on how I can "cut down" on books? Thanks :)

(Please, no rude answers would be greatly appreciated)

It sounds like bragging, but is not meant that way. I know my stories are very good and could be best sellers among the young people. I've been told that they are a cross between Harry Potter and Little House on the Prairie.

I remember reading a book about the holocaust, and about how a family had to hide out in the attic of some type of office building. During the day, they would have to stay quiet and not move so much, so the germans below wouldn't notice. I can't remember if they got caught or not, but I think one of the office workers was helping them out. Does anynone know the title or author of this book/novel?

the usa was a little country then and made a big deal out of whatever authors they had. i have read his so-called humorous travels through europe and found it irritatingly obvious and ignorant. i haven't read any of his other stuff since i was a kid, is it all so trite as this?

I read a poem of his on a website once and now I can't find it. It said something about amber and cinnamon. I think he's an American poet, but I'm not sure. Has anyone read his poetry or know anything about him?
