Who is Michael David Coffey?

I read a poem of his on a website once and now I can't find it. It said something about amber and cinnamon. I think he's an American poet, but I'm not sure. Has anyone read his poetry or know anything about him?

He's originally from England, but he's lived in California for a long time. He appears to be a professor of plant pathology as well.
