I remember reading a book about the holocaust, and about how a family had to hide out in the attic of some type of office building. During the day, they would have to stay quiet and not move so much, so the germans below wouldn't notice. I can't remember if they got caught or not, but I think one of the office workers was helping them out. Does anynone know the title or author of this book/novel?

The book you're describing is The Diary of Anne Frank. For other titles on the Holocaust, my website has quite an extensive listing...

I actually think you are talking about "The Hiding Place" by Corrie Ten Bloom. They were hiding above and behind a watch shop. It is based on a true story. They did get caught and sent to a concentration camp. In the book they have a map of the watch shop and the rooms around it. I think it is this rather then the Diary of Anne Frank. I hope this helped.

This sounds like the Anne Frank Diaries set in Amsterdam in the war.

Anne Frank, and yes, unfortunately they did get caught.
If you enjoyed that you should read "Fatelessness" by Imre Kertesz. It's about a young lad who ends up in a camp, and what he does to survive. It's also a true story, though not in diary form.
Oh, and the Diary of Anne Frank is written by Anne Frank, before she was captured by the nazis, and sent to a camp, where she died, I hope I'm not ruining the ending, but as you already read it...

Check out the website listed below. The Devil's Arithmatic is especially good-- a time-travel story about the Holocaust.

The Endless Steppe and A Candle in the Wind are good too. I read them in Jr. Hi
