no one is answering your question, and I will add to that,unfortunately. Read, Keep Your Eyes on The Prize, a survey of the Civil Rights Movement. Companion book to the PBS mini-series. Monumental, well at least for me. I believe the series (video) listed sites at the conclusion

I don't know a site but a great read when you find one is a book titled "Growing Up Black" , an anthology of different black contemporaries of celebrity note from the mid 60's.
I was 19 or 20 when I read it back then and it gave an excellent perspective, which as a white kid, I had never considered and helped me to eliminate some of the prejudices I had aquired in my upbringing.
