I'll always love the lads of 221b Baker Street, but I also very much enjoy Ellery Queen and would have a hard time picking between the two.

Who do you enjoy reading and matching wits with?

I'm guessing the friend (now enemy) who told me this years ago didn't make it up - as they aren't that inteligent. I think it may be by someone famous but i'm not sure, can you help ?

ladies and gentlemen, gents and germs
cross eyed mosquitos and bull legged worms
entrance is free, just pay by the door
pull up a chair and sit on the floor
one fine day, in the middle of the night
two dead boys got up to fight
back to back, they faced each other
drew their swords and shot one another
a deaf policeman heard the noise
and came to kill the two dead boys
if you don't believe this story is true
just ask the blind man, he saw it too

Clever i know, but who wrote it ??

I just finished this novel Star Trek, First Adventure. In it a ham actor does 'To be or not to be' before the Klingon Director, his own version of it. Its the last act and till then the performance had been going downhill. After the soliloquy, the Klingon jumps and begins to howl (their way of cheering) and his entire fleet does the same.

I am looking for a link or something to this funny but real article I got in an email about 5 yrs ago. It was an article out of an old Better Homes and Gardens from the 1950's about a womans role. It was very sexist and crude, but it was how women thought back then! Any help would be appreciated!
