I want to be a writer because I love to write and read. But whenever I try to write a book, my ideas suck. Got any ideas for a topic, title, characters, or anything else?

My library is having a fundraiser on the 4th of November on Broadway in La Porte TX of vintage books from the 1830s to present the last fundraiser only made 75.00. Even though we had over 20,000 books the money goes to the children’s programs, which run 300.00 a program, and all or most unsold books are one or the other donated to a church or {shudder here} recycled.
My question is if you could make it would you.

I know you're not supposed to do this, but one day a good last line just popped into my head. It is the last thing the girl says for her valedictorian speech,as all her friends are running onto the stage, etc. (yes, I am ending on a quote.)
"If I have learned one thing from living here, it is about life and friends. Nobody is pefect, but life isn't about finding friends with the least faults, it's about finding and accepting people who's fault's you can put up with."
I feel it captures my message, and has a good, but unusual moral not often given. Do you agree?

this here is for speech, an intrepretation it's when you read something speak for the characters. I can do a "Dramatic Interpretation" or a "Humerous" or "Duo Interpretation" (i don't want to do Duo because I don't have enough time to practice w/ a partner) You are not suppose to move feet feet from w/ though, it's called "acting from the waist up" and mine need to be 5 minutes long.

Problem is: I don't know what I should do my reading on for the interpretation!
-got any suggestions?

For my infant, who live but 18 hrs
As the pure snoe-drop, child of April Tears
Shook by the rough winds desolating breath
Scarce o'er the chilly sod its low head rears
and trembling dies upon the paren health
So my lost boy, arrayed in fancys charms
to the cold tyrant strected his feeble arms
and struggling sighed his lil life away
as not in vain the early snow-drop rose
thu short its date and heard the withering gale
since its pale bloom ethereal balm bestows
and cheers with vernal hope and wasted vale
my perished child, dear pledge of many a pain!
torn from this ruffian world, in yon bright spphere
joins with awakened voice the cherub train
and pours his sweet breath on a mothers ear
kind dreams of morn his fairy phantom bring
and floating tones of ecstasy impart
kind dreams of morn his fairy phantom bring
and floating seraphs strike the heavenly string
to charm the settled sorrow of the heart

I don't think many people have, but I don't know.
If you haven't, then do! It's about a vampire that falls in love with a human.

In my Jr. High we had a lot of old (most from 1905-1960) magazines which I would read. I have been attempting to find the following stories, but have no clue as to the authors or the titles. Any help would be appreciated.
1) "The Revenge of Mother." ? A woman with a large family & a daughter that is getting married finds out that her husband is building a new barn & not the house he promised her 20 years ago. So when he goes out of town she moves into the barn & renovates it into a decent living space for her family. Neighbors think she is insane & wait for her husband to "fix" the situation. She wins.

2) Two ladies are gardening & talking about the tripods that landed earlier in the week. There have been no attacks, & no alien sightings. One of the women, as she is spraying her garden, notices that the Tripods are just making some pink clouds.

3)A space marine is on a planet being chased by a violent alien. The whole story is mostly flashbacks, but the alien is human.

what the best techniques for writing a book? I've completed a character and i have already written six pages in my daily journal. But i am afraid of having my story stray away as it usually does. I've been writing for quite a while now but i've never completely finished any of my work. My stories always seems to stray away from the main topic and, or they usually end not how i planned.

i always see answers saying that HP is an "annoying kid who is reckless, makes bad decisions, etc etc"...but i feel like most of the time his Gut Instinct is correct, and no one else believes him til it comes true! the only case i can really recall is when he thought Sirius was in the Dept of Mysteries, but that's hardly his "fault", and you can't deny that Voldemort and his followers were in the position to do some serious damage anyways..... can you jog my memory, and come up with any Solid proof that he's "always wrong"??
