Allen Sherman wrote a book back in either the late 60's or early 70's called 'The Rape of the A.P.E.' and below the title it spelled out A.P.E. to mean American Puritan Ethnic. This was not only a facinating read by one of the top comics in America at the time but extremely humorous too.
