How do you know your stuff is funny? Who tells you it is?

I never wrote it down, but when Current Events, happen, I love to go through what I think the comedians will do with it.
I was in the back of a pick up truck, and my friend stopped suddenly, his spare tire hit me - my Wife said "you OK?", I said, "I'm Tired", "feeling a little low", and then we went on for about 15 minutes with Tire, Flat, Rubber, etc jokes.
A friend of mine was getting a vasectomy, he told me about it - now I got to wonder why. This brought the house down, when we roasted him leaving the company.
Michael Jackson, he has lots of childish fun, I hear he enjoys blowing Bubbles.
I don't know if I am always funny, but I can take a cut at things. It is fun, and people get a laugh.
I really like Toilet humor. You are sitting on the toilet, and from the stall next to you ... or you overhear a comment, etc.

I'm guessing you're talking about stand up comedy?
I only think I'm funny, few people share my opinion. It's a hard life for us creative types. If you try your jokes on people you know and they laugh, you're funny, if they punch you out you're just rude. I haven't checked this out but have you tried a Yahoo group for comedians? You can find just about anything on the internet, even stuff you wished you hadn't.
