Is it the book by Maya Angelou. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. You should read it you would learn a thing or two. It's about beating the odds, about growing up in a world that is anti-you and beating it. Read it.

i read it in high school, and as far as i can remember i liked it. there were some slow parts if i remember correctly, but maya angelou is a fantastic writer, so most of it was good.
