I'm opening a bookstore in Boulder Creek, California, soon. I plan to call it Highway 9 3/4 Books. We have a logo for the front of the tee shirt, and need to choose a few good quotes to go on the back. My favorite so far is "Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested." Francis Bacon

What's your suggestion?

I spent ages wandering round Waterstones this morning and couldn't find anything that grabbed me. So, have you read a real page-turner recently? I'll give anything a go (except Dan Brown!)

Oh my auntie’s little boy
He sucked his thumb all day
My aunt was very very sad
She took a holiday.

She tied a wooly spiky thread
Around the baby’s thumb
The baby ate the spiky thread
And called her very dumb.

She bribed him with a lollipop
And bought a teddy bear
The baby happy with his thumb
He did not even care.

Then she took him to a fair
She gave him bubble gum
The baby stuck it on her hair
And only sucked his thumb.

Mad my aunt with gum in hair
And a baby that called her dumb
Took the baby’s hand in mouth
And ate the baby’s thumb.

Alright, I am a young author (14 to be exact), and am half way through my first book. I plan to finish it by Christmas and edit for a few months after. I want to have ALL rights to my book, and I want to be the one that says what to do with the book and whatnot. If you can't tell, I am a Huge control freak. I like things my way. More so when it is really my work. Get what I mean?

Well, is self publishing a good idea? I have no problem with the price, so don't mention that. If you think it is, do you have any websites about it? I have tried to research, but I never find what I am looking for. If you think it is a bad idea please feel free to tell me why, and tell me what you think I should do.

Well, thanks in advance!!
