Hi sorry for my english. I'm ok with the first answer but if i can make a suggestion the best french poet is Arthur Rimbaud, for me. Baudelaire was a dandy whereas Rimbaud was a real genius like Walt Whiltman and Allen Ginsberg.

French poets Charles Baudelaire and Stephane Mallarme? I guess I'd go with Beadelaire. He was a predecessor to Mallarme and Mallarme owes much of his style to Beaudelaire. He was a rebel and Mallarme his follower.
