Key things to know...hmm...well, I always found Luella's character interesting. She lives in a virtual hell with her physically and sexually abusive, alcoholic father. She is the sole caretaker for her siblings, some of whom may or may not be her own children, by her repulsive father. In the face of all this ugliness, she grows a flower, symbolizing her small, but still alive, desire to have something more. (I think her name is Luella, you read the book, you'll know.)

This is one of those rare instances where the book and the movie are almost exactly the same. While I normally recommend reading a book, especially this one because it's FANTASTIC, you might actually do okay on the test tomorrow. You should still read it, because it's great. But the movie is amazing, too. I doubt you'll be asked questions that are of such great detail that you won't be able to answer them because you've only seen the movie.

READ THE BOOK!!!!!
Honestly, it will surprise you how good it is. The book deals with the cancer of prejudice, not just prejudice against other ethnicities but against anyone or anything that is different. There are things in the book that are not in the movie. Also, I think there is a site online with Cliff Notes that can help you sort it out.

You didn't read the book but you watched the movie. And people wonder why we our student rank so low against the students from other countries. Read the book. Take responsibility for your education.

Read the book. It's great. And, there's a Jeopardy question on it almost every week! No hints from here, except know the characters and their roles in the book. Then fake it!

the reason why the title is "to kill a mocking bird"
the irony behind that when all they do is sing sweet birdie songs

the legal proceedings..
how their system had pushed that poor man into escaping and causing his death

the so called mock defeat of the father when he's playing chess with his children... there's a lot more reason behind that

and his allowing them of calling him by his first name

the society of women in general

and lot others
