I'm halfway through "Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell" by Susanna Clarke and enjoying it very much - her narrative is wonderful and it's extremely witty. The only downside is it's taking me ages to read, but I guess that just means I get to savour the story for longer!

The most intelligent novel ever written by woolf was actuallyTO THE LIGHTHOUSE.the way she can writte about people s mind.she believed that they have something more.she didn t writte about what people said, but contrary about what they didn t said.behind the words, there is mind and she tried to get there, succesfully.the story is about a family which seems that every member have their particular thoughts about each other.and then is this girl who consider herself an artist even if one may come and declare that "Women don t know how to writte, don t know how to paint".it is a novel which reveals inside strugling and everybody seems not to have quite happy.the girl get finally to the age of fourty, unmarried, and we can see that her talent in painting, inspired by the lighthouse with its soul and human being soul, made her say to herself "i had a revelation, too".

The evil corporation is a recurring theme in a lot of thriller or science fiction novels. However, it's not a genre in and of itself. Can you name some good fiction books that have an evil corporation as a backdrop and the efforts being taken by the lead characters against it?

this is not for cheating, not even for school. i'm reading it for pleasure, but I'm a little lost on the plot and think I've missed something and a sparknotes type resource would be helpful. no junk answers or i report you.

I'm hopefully going to be a teacher this September and was hoping to get a better idea of what books you could remember having to go through for English class. Any help would be greatly appreciated! (Letting me know which ones you loved and which ones you didn't like at all would be fantastic, too!)
