mig if you are uk poundstretcher sell cujo and firestarter for £1 each. I hadn't read them before and couldn't believe i'd missed them they were really good.
I read Stephen King aswell I loved Green Mile .
Try some of his short story books like Four Past Minute.
Worst one I read was The girl who loved Tom Gordon .

If you have read Salems Lot and The Dead Zone then you know Steven King is demented and you should not read any more of his books.

Firestarter is better then the movie. Great great book. Ending is much better then the movie. Salem's Lot freaked me out. Bag of Bones is good, but more for the older crowd. The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordan is an odd book. Very well written. Somewhat of a take your mind through someone's nightmare experience. A lot of psychology.

The Dead Zone is a hard act to follow, I would go with some of the collected short stories. The earlier the better in my view. Try the skeleton crew if you can get a hold of it.

I'd recommend The Stand - it's probably the best book King has ever written. Long, but its hard to put down. Its King's masterpiece. If you don't want to read something so long, go for The Shining.

I read The Green Mile last week and loved it, currently reading Pet Semetary, plan on reading The Shining after this but out of all his books the one I like most is Desperation. Or he done a collabration with another writer...can't remember his name its called Black House (I think lol)

The Skeleton Crew is a good one, it's a compilation of short stories. Dreamcatcher is also very good. My two favorite King novels are "The Talisman" and "The Girl who Loved Tom Gordon". Hope that you read them and enjoy them.
