I am a huge fan of James Lee Burke's Dave Robicheaux novels, but am just about finished with all of them. I would greatly appreciate any recommendations based on this preference.

He is one of my favorites also. Although the style is very different, I love Robert B. Parker's books too. His Spenser is like Robicheaux in many ways, and the Jesse Stone character in his later books is even more so.

I thought you meant Junior Burke, in which case I'd recommend reading "Something Gorgeous."

It's based on "The Great Gatsby."
