I don't think I've read Fever 1793, although I've read books about that epidemic before..which is why I say I think I haven't read this particular book. But I have read Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. Speak is one of the best YA books I've read it. It is so worth reading. It is about a young teen, I want to say a freshman or sophomore...fairly young in my opinion, who is raped over the summer (she keeps it a secret from everyone) and as a result has become shut off from her peers for many reasons...in some way self-imposed isolation...and in some ways rejected by her peers. But it's a very good book that goes above and beyond its subject matter.

I've also read Catalyst and Prom, both by Laurie Halse Anderson. I typically enjoy her work as a whole.

I don't think I have read Speak but I have read Fever 1793. It is a good book but way too fast to read, like you start it and the end comes right away. But it is a good story if you don't mind things like that.

I really enjoyed both of the books. They are very descriptive.
