For example, i wrote a story about how squirrels were using the magical powers of bacon to enslave the human race, but one kid decided to use the powers of hotdogs to fight the squirrels and he became the superhero Super Hotdog and destroyed the squirrel king and freed all of mankind.

it is a book of short stories... does that make a difference? because i've read around and it says to do a table of contents and an overview but mine is more similar to david sedaris, kind of. how would i go about submitting it to literary agents? i'm also 20 and a first time writer with nothing published previously. any suggestions? (i just submitted a question but i'm asking again to give more specifics)

On the CBS Early Show a few days ago (I think it was on Tuesday or Wednesday...can't remember) two women were interviewed about the book they wrote. I want to read that book, but I can't remember the names of the two women or the title of the book. Can someone help???

I would not compare even the best graphic novels I've read with the truly great writers of today, writers like Cormac McCarthy, Don DeLillo, Philip Roth, Cynthia Ozick and what have you. However, as a fan of Neil Gaiman's Sandman series (currently on volume five), Maus, and several other graphic novels, and as someone who has read some of the young writers (such as David Foster Wallace) that are supposed to be the future of literature, I think graphic novels can easily compare with the "future" great writers. Do you think graphic novels get a bad reputation? Should they be considered quality literature?

i'm writing a story where this professor who goes back to the past and meets with himself. im having trouble for using sentence of calling the former/earlier same guy. How do i put in in sentence? right now mine goes like this. (Cobolt was too late. ""The former professor"" was not in sight). See... the word former sounds like he has retired from being a professor. hope you guys get what i mean and help me to change it. best answer gets 10 points.
