I write but I've never tried to publish because my ideas suck. I need ideas and a good lead.

Best bet is to start with short stories. Write about something you are familiar with. Then spin it into a story. Use whaever experience you have. Better to write something you have a knowledge of. Once you have that style down to a science then you can branch out. Try writing a lot of short stories, even childrens stories. A lot of folks start there. Dont get discouraged. A lot of poeple write thewir whole llives and maybe only get one or 2 published works. If you want to, once you have your short stories written, bind them yourself and share them with freinds. they make great gifts.

Well here something good you can listen to,you have to go with an idea that will work,and idea that you know you'll be satisfied to publish and you gotta find that something to write about,I'm sure you can be a great author just find that idea you know you can write down and publish,and no you should'nt say your ideas suck you just got to work on it that is just the begining just follow the idea that fits best with what you wanna write about!!!!!

You don't give yourself enough credit, that's your problem. I'm sure you're ideas are great, but you don't give them the type of credit they deserve and you don't give yourself enough credit. Do you write? Congratulations, not enough people do that. you should feel proud of yourself for doing something many people don't. You have ideas already circulating around your head and they will come to you if you let them and give them a chance to present themselves. And if you're stuck on ideas, read. Reading is the best place for inspiration to a writer. Are you writing something you enjoy? If you're writing a story you're not into, quit and move to a story that will keep you riveted and be something you want to read if you were someone else. But please, give yourself more credit.

EVER TRIED WRITING BOOKS LYKE ZANE ....OMAR TYREE...E LYNN HARRIS....THEY ARE AFRICAN AMERICANS BUT THEIR BOOKS ARE VERY POPULARRRRR AND SEXXXY.... TRY WRITING BOOKS THAT WILL KEEP PEOPLE WANTIN MORE THAT WAY THEY WILL REMEMBER UR NAME...............I LOVE TO READ AND WANT TO BE AN AUTHOR MYSELF...I LOVE BOOKS THAT MAKE ME CRY AND INSPIRE ME.............I AM CURRENTLY WORKIN ON A BOOK ABOUT A GURL WHO THINKS SHE KNOWS EVERYTHING..DOESNT LISTEN TO HER SINGLE MOTHER WHO IS RAISING HER AND 4 MORE KIDS....INSTEAD SHE STEPS INTO THE WORLD OF SEXX DRUGS AND GAMBLING...ITS ABOUT CAN SHE BE SAVED BEFORE SHE LOST TO DA GAME.........ITS BEING COPYRIGHTED AND EVERYTHING..REALLY COOL HUH!

publish one of your creations on different cultural sites(literature sites) and see what people think about it;see how many people read your creations :)
