I think that this may be in Latin but:
S’io credesse che mia risposta fosse
A persona che mai tornasse al mondo,
Questa fiamma staria senza piu scosse.
Ma perciocche giammai di questo fondo
Non torno vivo alcun, s’i’odo il vero,
Senza tema d’infamia ti rispondo.

Or are they mostly for showcasing talent until something bigger comes along?

I'm thinking about poetry in this case. Also I am not really talking about self publishing. Just having a publisher accept a poetry chapbook for publication. Do chapbooks sell? I've never really seen a chapbook on sale at a major bookstore.

I was younger when I read it. It's about a girl visiting...I think her grandmother. She got picked on and was given tea to make her invisible from bullies. It worked and then there was something to do with a crater she had to go to, which was a magical world, and she had this quest to save I think that world or just something, I believe. I can't remember anything else except that I was in 5th or 6th grade when I read it, I believe it had chapters, and I loved it! Please help! I've been searching for years and checked it out of a library in Ft. Drum, New York, where I don't live anymore.

I just got this book. It got good review from Sue Monk Kidd the author who wrote The Secret Life of Bees and The Mermaid Chair.
I was wondering if anyone has read the book The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards? If you read it did you like it or dislike it and why did you like it or dislike it?

Ok, I know this is a hard question to ask. I don't mean to be nosey.

Let's just say, a bookstore buys my book for $3.00, how much would (sometimes) my profit be?
$1.00, $ 2.00, please answer my question. Thanks!

And, If you can, may you tell me how some of your books sell, of course, I know this answer will be differnt from another answer.

I read it about ten years ago. It was three overlapping stories in one novel set in different time zones at the same site. It first was a monastry then a convent and then a ruin (I think) during the book , one pregnant woman sought refuge there, one nun was bricked up in her own crypt to pray for the rest of her days in solitude. I remember it was very confusing and when I finished it I wanted to re-read it because I didn't understand it (but it was a library book and I didn't take a note of the title). any guesses?

According to the prophecy,'None can live while the other survives',either Harry or Voldemort will die. I think that Harry will first kill Voldemort and then somehow die himself too. What do you think?
