that is such a brilliant question!......it's impossible to decide....when i was a kid i always wished i could be in the faraway tree stories by enid blyton (even though she makes me cringe now)....they were about a tree that had a different magical land at the top of it everyday, you could climb to the top and visit it but you had to make sure you left before the land moved on....
it would be cool to jump into the wizard of oz or the narnia books too...as a teenager i would have loved to have been friends with holden in the catcher in the rye and to hang out in new york with him, but it wouldn't be as great now as i am way older than him, so as for 'adult' books.......shadow of the wind would be fun to be a part of.....or else the lost art of keeping secrets, i really wished i belonged to that world when i read it...but i could go on and on and on, don't you wish you could jump into books? thanks for such a wonderful question!

Ah, I'd jump in to one of the Thursday Next novels (by Jasper Fforde). I figure you got this question from one of these books because she does in (I'm working on the second in the series, the first I've ever read).
Anyway, I'd jump in because once inside I could jump to other books -- I want to drive around with Ms. Havisham, I want to be in Alice and Wonderland, it's great. I can't wait to finish reading _Lost in a Good Book_ so I can read the first in the series and then the later ones. Maybe this answer is cheating a bit because I'd go into a book so I could go in to any book, but that's what I'd do!

I would choose one of the following: The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (Douglas Adams), The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists (Gideon Defoe), The Pirates! In an Adventure with Ahab (Gideon Defoe), The Talented Mr. Ripley (Patricia Highsmith), or any book written by Harlan Coben or Stephen King.

I would write the story myself!
"Once upon a time, a guy named Dave read a question on Yahoo! Answers and said, 'Hey, why don't I start writing the story of my life!' So he picked up a pen and began writing.
The next day, he discovered he could fly. He also discovered that he could see in total blackness, change his skin color at will, and be able to heal people. He one day met a beautiful girl who was hurting very badly and felt insecure. He just looked into her eyes and she felt like the most beautiful girl on Earth. She melted into total happiness and she soon started developing abilities just like Dave. They then began their life together, which the world would never forget..."
End of chapter 1.

I;d jump into 'The Idiot' or 'The Karamazov Brothers' by F. Dostoevsky and be either Nastasja or Katerina. In first case, it might be.. cruel, the girl had a cruel destiny, and suffered a lot, but she still amazes me as a woman. In teh second case, Katerina is also an amazing woman, and I'd do somthing to save each of the brothers..

I would choose to jump into the book "Alanna: The First Adventure" or "Wild Magic" by Tamora Pierce and join up with Alanna or Daine in their adventures. That would be SO much fun!!
This is a very good question. I'm going to be thinking about it now. Humm, fun, fun. :-)~

Going to an thrilling position like Diagon Alley to purchase college elements instead of Staples? after I were given my college books i'd be practising even earlier I were given on the prepare!

King Fortis the Brave or The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Daak and Narnia both seem like wonderful lands to explore!

Warning: plot/spoiler warning for Catch-22 below:
As Orr in Catch-22 who paddles to Sweden at the end of the book and the only one in the squadron considered carzier than Yossarian - who, as the Doc says early in the book 'that crazy b****** Yossarian is the only sane one here!'.
