I'm writing poetry but until now, I've never published my works. I would like to know what the most possible and advantageous strategy would be: should I contact a publisher, post my works on my blog on Internet or self-publish a book that I then try to sell on my own? I don't have hundreds of poems ready and since they all follow the same pattern creating a wholeness, I wouldn't really like the idea of publishing just a few of them on internet (since I don't think I could then publish them later on in a book). Because of the way they've been written, I would like to publish them all together since they are not separate but really consolidate each other. I would also like to know where to find someone to give feedback on poetry. Publishers hardly comment on works they are not intending to publish. Thank you for any piece of advice in advance!

The parts of the story I remember are; it was based in the near future, in the story there was a passage about how she(the main character) was watching a ballet on tv but the dancers all were wearing weights so that they couldnt be good enough to make someone jealous, the people that were smart had to wear helmets that prevented them from thinking. I would really like to find the name of this story and the author.

I'm pretty sure it was Sonia Sanchez, but I could be wrong and I don't recall the name of the poem.

The book's pretty obscure - I read it waiting and waiting for it to grab me... It never did. The ending in particular struck me as meaningless but maybe I'm missing something...

How do you choose the books you read?
Do you have favorite styles(which?) and authors(which?) and always read the same or do you like to try different things?
Do you go back to the books you liked and read them again, after some time?
Do you have a special place to read?
At what time do you read?
For how long,usually?
Do you eat or drink when reading? What?
What kind of music do you like to listen when reading? Or do you prefer the silence?

Thank you for sharing!:)

My book is based on the concept of teaching a female how to get a man. It also explains to her what men really need and want from women.
