If you like Johanna Lindsey and Jude Deveraux, you will love Julie Garwood and Judith McNaught.

By Garwood, read Saving Grace. Just a great, great book. Not just romantic, but funny too.

By McNaught, read Whitney, My Love, one of the best romance novels I have ever read. Well-written. One of the best. She also has several runners up to my favorite...Once and Always, Something Wonderful and Until You. She has written some contemporary as well that are wonderful--Paradise is the best of the bunch.

In the strict "romance" genre, the only author I really read anymore is Julia Quinn. I love her Bridgerton series. Her couples make good friends as well as lovers - and the Bridgerton family is a stich. I guess you have to expect a little chaos when there are eight kids in the family. I'm looking forward to the eighth and final book coming out soon.

The Duke and I
The Viscount Who Loved Me
An Offer From a Gentleman
Romancing Mr. Bridgerton
To Sir Philip With Love
When He Was Wicked
In His Kiss

If you Love Sherrilyn you'll flip over Christine Feehan's Dark Carpathian Heroes. And there's a new Author out by the name of J.R.Ward "Brotherhood Series" Its great! There's two books out so far. For Feehan I suggest you start with Dark Prince then go to Dark Desire...after that you'll understand the hook. I've read them all and some of them more then once.
Enjoy!!

Have you read the Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough?
I have not yet read it myself but might read it starting maybe today.
It takes place in Australia and was a movie with Richard Chamberlin and
Rachel Ward.
Have you also read Gone with The Wind?
What kind of romance books do you like? Historical, contemporary etc.

Its a bit newer... I just finished it myself but read Nora Roberts "Time and Again." its fantastic. There is also one called the captive, but I dont remember who wrote it. Any of the "Savage" series are good... such as Savage Hope, Savage Courarge, Savage Love, etc. There are about 30 of them or so.

You might try Georgette Heyer books. The are mostly Regency period and a cut above the usual.
