I'm writing a short story in which a man thinks he has found a painting by Khalo in some old lady's attic. He steals it and I want him to try and sell it only to find out its fake. How can I do so in a realistic fashion? Where would one go if one had found such a painting?

Ok, I am having trouble understanding the literal and metaphorical meaning of these poems.
My thesis is, "Because each poet had their own attitude towards science, it allows you to imagine what they were like as a person."

"Sonnet - To science" By Edgar Allan Poe

Science! true daughter of Old Time thou art!
Who alterest all things with thy peering eyes.
Why preyest thou thus upon the poet's heart,
Vulture, whose wings are dull realities?
How should he love thee? or deem thee wise?
Who wouldst not leave him in his wandering
To seek for treasure in the jeweled skies,
Albeit he soared with an undaunted wing?
Hast thou not dragged Diana from her car?
And driven the Hamadryad from the wood
To seek a shelter in some happier star?
Has thou not torn the Naiad from her flood,
The Elfin from the green grass, and from me
The summer dream beneath the tamarind tree?

By Emily Dickinson

In Plutarch's life of Tiberius Gracchus, there is a section in which Tiberius is trying to get rid of Marcus Octavius as a tribune in order to pass his bill about land reform.

I was really really hoping that someone on here has read Plutarch's Life of Tiberius Gracchus and could give me some insight on the two sides of the arguement (for/against the deposition of Octavius).

I am researching my family history. An ancestor in Chicago in the late 19th century is listed with the occupation of "traveler". It appears to be different from "traveling salesman" (there are other people with that occupation listed), so I'm not sure what it could be. Any suggestions?

I've been feeling emo lately, so here is a collection of all of my emotions rolled in one:

Battle between,
Smoldering ashes,
Dust of bone sigh
Sky's bright eye.

Son of the sea banished,
Golden triumph.
Broken soul,
No winning, nor goal.

Moonshine spark,
Fireworks blaze,
Fight of father right,
Star's unblessed night.

Tired of life,
Caterpillar trapped in cucoon,
Foot steps passing time,
Love is a crime.

I can't really explain what it means to me because it's so complicated...tell me what you really think about it.

Do libs ALWAYS have to revise history to fit their own problems with people?Ever since 9/11 they've been saying Pearl Harbor was an inside job too to show"the utter death and destruction that comes as a result of neo-cons".They called FDR a neo-con.And now to make redneck fundamentalists angry they're calling Jesus a liberal activist. When will it end?

i dedicate this to all of my suitors.

let me be
let me become
let me join the wind
let me tell the story of how i reached the sun

dont try to hold my hand
dont attempt to take my breath away
dont stand in the way
close your lips
let me forget that you are near

for this soul has been floating around to find the questions
for my mind is settled on an unending adventure
my possibilities have been discovered
your attention is now only seen as futile

too late, i no longer feel alone
i am satisfied on my own
ive realized the truth of completing
the self before attempting to move out of it

let me be.... for i am free

I love to read, but have no time to cruise the aisles of my local bookstore. I am reading Tom Perrota's "Abstinence Teacher" now, and love it.

I'm in my mid 30s, married with one child. Love to laugh, hate true "Harlequin" books but have been known to enjoy "Shopaholic" and "Bridget Jones".

Can you share some suggested authors/books? No science fiction, interesting mystery/intrigue okay, no gore or scary themes. Like some of the Oprah books, nothing too heavy, prefer fiction.

No Tolkien, religous of any sort and prefer current (last ten to twenty years) I had too much English lit in colege!

Thanks! All suggestions welcome

I'm having a bit of trouble about the differences between macbeth and lady macbeth. I have to write an essay on both their character developments compared. For example the teacher told us to write about how macbeth graudally went crazy slowly and how lady macbeth was calm throughout the play until she finally had one sudden breakout at the end of the play. Could you explain and emphasize please
