omg i love sonnets. those are basically the only poems i know how to do. i can give you one of mine. if you don't like it then you can change up the wording if you want. i got an A+ on it and it was a 200 point project for my English I Accelerated class.

Lasting Forever

His heart rests on the flickering candle
His tears mold into droplets of hot wax
The heat is too much for him to handle
The color of the core will not relax
The sheer thread steams away his mislead hope
Scents of clean linen satin fill the air
Anxiously, he clings to the half inch rope
Time is the enemy he can not bear
Examining the tick-tocks of the clock
He feels though he is drowning in its pool
Sculpting to something else gives him a shock
Knowing how it ends made this mind-game cruel
The sound of a gun triggered his own death
The candle’s flame went out with his last breath.

Change some words and it's all yours.
Jesus loves you too.

Here I sit amongst a miscellaneous hodgepodge
That piece there
I had to have
And that one there
I know I'll use
Oh and that pretty little thing
Was a definite must
Aha there's the one someday I'll use
The pile only growing bigger as each one sits
In the end I guess it
Won't hurt to let them go
But yet maybe I shall keep just one, two, three, four
I'm getting nowhere
Why do I bother!
