work. This assignment is inspired by Rube Goldberg. In fact, this riddle type thing comes out of one of his books. The answer to this riddle is also found in the same book. It's kinda has to have a domino effect/ chain reaction type deal in the process of how the can opener would function. If anyone is familiar with Rube Goldberg's work and such, you would know that a lot of his work involve animals in his inventive concepts. Would someone PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!! My mind is drawing a total blank in this area. This assignment is due tomorrow, so if anyone could answer this as seriously and as soon as possible, that would be GREAT! :-) Thank you! Anyone with the most complete and thorough answer, I will choose as the best answer. Just a little incentive for you guys.... that's all. :-)

An "American" Sonnet

The 20s were a prime time,
and everyone who could would,
swill bathtub gin and near beer,
from some notorious rough tough.

They'd dance away the night tight,
in dresses that were cloth froth,
for life was always pay day,
a flappered "jazz age" flick kick.

Then 30 followed smash crash,
depression murdered mock-stock.
The job-world lay abed dead,
head covered well with black sack.

Old Hoover sang a rote note,
and Roosevelt won the vote tote.

When you can’t find a place to fit in,

Look within and fit in your skin.

When you are all alone,

Hold your head high and walk into the unknown.

When you are being mistreated,

Look within and do not let yourself be defeated.

When you find yourself without a comforting embrace,

Stare challenges in the face.

When no one believes in you,

Look within and make it through.

When you will not forgive,

Remember it is your choice how to live.

When you find someone who loves you,

Look within and discover if it is true.

And when you find that they are worthwhile,

Look within at what you have become and smile.

Pershing had the highest rank. Washington only got it because Ford gave it to him ceremoniously. D-Mac declined General of the Army. You can pick any other generals though.
