Please only answer if you've actually had one.

I had a really, really major one a while back. Nearly killed myself and was very seriously contemplating self-mutilation to see if it was all real. It sort of phased out on its own and now only comes back in occasional bursts. It has left me with a heightened sense of consciousness I can't really explain. More aware of the fact that I am one person in one body is the closest way to put it.

I'm still not completely convinced but I've stopped caring. I seem to be stuck here, in whatever or wherever this is, and I have no control over much of anything, so I might as well take advantage of what's available.

When it does come back, though, it's pretty bad...I get back to the thinking about suicide and not trusting any of my sense, or my mind. I usually manage to sleep it off, and the next day I work myself extra hard on not enough sleep so I'm too tired to think. Has about a 60% success rate.

What do you do to keep reality stable?

I am new to using charcoal as a medium. I do portraiture and just got a commission to use charcoal. I am finding it somewhat easy to blend in small areas with tortillions and blending sticks, but what about the larger areas of the face? This is of a child so I need it to be really smooth looking.

I write. I do it because I love it, I want the world to listen to my soul, and I want my writings to be amongst those studied by scholars for milleniums to come. I dislike it when people recklessly hate other writers because they hate how easy it was for the person to get their book published and so forth. I have seen hate groups for Christopher Paolini, and while I have not read any of his works, I dislike how people hate him just because he got an easy break publishing his book. What people should be doing is criticizing his book constructively instead of hating him because he got an easy break. All I hear people say is, "Paolini sucks, that was his first writing attempt and it was published." Too bad, life is just and until you realize that you must take advantage of what you have, you will continue to complain about how life is unfair. He used what he had and he is successful now. He also self promoted his book.

i have talked to many philosophers and also alot of website. and all of them said they were irrefutable, but also "neccesserily incoherent" is the most commonly phrased when describing solipsism. it is also declared baseless and foundationless in order for it to make sense to itself.

any ideas?

Do you ever get calls from acting agencies? The ones that you register for online and you give them your address/number/etc...I KNOW...I'm so dumb, I gave this "audition site" my cellphone number, and now this guy keeps calling me to take headshots. Every call is about how he rescheduled the headshot session, and that I should come at a specific time or day. I know it's my fault, but have any of you experienced the same thing? I know, I know, I'm dumb for giving away my number, but I was desperate to be on T.V.!

*By the way, in order to make the guy go away, should I block his number first, or let one of my guy friends tell him 'WRONG NUMBER DUDE!".

***Oh, if I should block him on my cellphone, please tell me how to do that!

THE SITES THAT I REGISTERED FOR ARE LIKE THE "FREE" ONES.

Was it too vague or too specific? Did it give too much power to the federal government or to the states? Do you think it gave too much or too little protection to slavery in the states? Do you think it did too little to expand or protect the rights of individual citizens? Does it make sense to have representation by state and by population? Is the electoral college a useful institution?

What time period would you consider that Stephen Crane wrote in? I have no idea. By time period, I mean like the kind of writing from those times. Ex: Renaissance Period.

I dunno... just something i've been thinking about, since right now i'm sort of freaking out about a love interest pulling away. why is it that everyone loves music... can relate to certain songs and the passionate lyrics in them about love and yearning and desperately needing to be with a person... lyrics like "i was nothing before i met you..." or "so weak and powerless over you...." or "i'd die without you" or something....

but in real life when you talk like that (or god forbid acted on some of that stuff!) you'd be seen as crazy or desperate or inappropriate, etc.?

Why can we listen to these things as art, but we can't *live* them? Are we in denial?
