Truth is something small and simple yet powerful than anything. It takes in lot of courage to accept and much more to digest it.So by ignoring truth people think they are making it non-existent ,They think they are wiping it off .People ignore truth because they are cowards. They just try to escape it through out life but never dare to face it.

Truth is another way of saying "this way is better" so like any advice that is not asked for, most often truth is ignored if the person is comfortable with his or her belief system. Look a Jesus. The bible said that almost all his followers left him because he preached what they could not understand. We all think we would follow Jesus if he came back today, but most people don't even want to know about the Book of Mormon which was written by an actual prophet of God.

Some people confuse "truth" with opinion. Opinions are easy to ignore. Others ignore truth because they don't like the implications.

Every body has their own version of the truth they want to believe. What they believe in and why makes them the person they are. People ignore the truth because to accept it could mean admitting they have made mistakes or even wasted theirlives

because we only believe what we want to believe. Like some wives who know their husbands are ....., but they would rather stay oblivion of the truth.

interesting still, we sometimes setup psychological solutions rather than real solutions to the problem we do not want to face. For example for thousands of years up until 200 years ago Mongolians have faster horses and better cavalries and they would pillage Chinese farms and villages easily. To solve this problem, the Chinese built the Great Wall. People on both sides know that the wall does not do much as a defense system. However, Chinese need to build it to make ourselves feel good and safe. After throwing so much money, time and manpower on the Wall, we are exhausted to feel the danger anymore. Well... I am half Chinese and half Mongolian, do not know which side I am on.

I don't know, sometimes the truth hurts.

I'm an accounting major and recently gave a speech to my accounting fraternity about why only rich people need accountants, and accountants don't really help better the human race, they only make people get richer or look richer. "Richer" does not equal better. They didn't like me very much after that, but I strongly feel that I was telling the truth.

Truth sometimes leads to change, and humans has a tendency to remaining stagnant. Also truth sometimes will ruin the traditions that had practiced for centuries. Sometimes, people are just idiotic morons who wants to remain ignorant.

You need to elaborate. Truth in personal relationships is easier to ignore then to face the fact of failure. Most people are unable to face the truth about themselves and deal with their problems, it is easier to be in denial.

This question assumes that there is only one truth. Every perspective is different; everyone has a different truth. Reality is just your brain recreating what is fed to it. That you can tell me your and I can tell you mine amazes me. It is a miracle that through language and writing any truths are passed from one to another.

I've heard the CIA has a Bible scripture on their building?

The way I heard it, it was this scripture: John 8:32 . . .truth will set YOU free. . .

However, I also heard that in one office another unofficial version is posted! " the truth shall piśś you off."

Perhaps that is why! It may frequently be true.
