Just for acting, not musicals. I will be moving to LA because they say the schools there are more "TV" and the schools in NY are more "Stage". The reason I need to know is because I have to start setting up audition dates with the schools for early admission soon and I am having a REALLY hard time deciding between which one I should attend. American Musical and Dramatic Academy is more college like with dorms and stuff like that but Strasberg is just hardcore, straight-to-the-point method acting. I want both of those things but I just cannot decide, and I also want to go to a school where I can learn REALLY great acting techniques...I don't know which school has the better turn out rate for actual working actor graduates because they both seem to be good schools. I JUST NEED HELP! Thanks!

When you are reading a book, do you find conversations boring?
Um...like a group of people discussing just their ideas and fears and such.

Boring or no?

hi please...find SIMILES OR METAPHORS if there are any in this poem

He seemed to know the harbour,
So leisurely he swam;
His fin,
Like a piece of sheet-iron,
Three-cornered,
And with knife-edge,
Stirred not a bubble
As it moved
With its base-line on the water.

His body was tubular
And tapered
And smoke-blue,
And as he passed the wharf
He turned,
And snapped at a flat-fish
That was dead and floating.
And I saw the flash of a white throat,
And a double row of white teeth,
And eyes of metallic grey,
Hard and narrow and slit.

Then out of the harbour,
With that three-cornered fin
Shearing without a bubble the water
Lithely,
Leisurely,
He swam --
That strange fish,
Tubular, tapered, smoke-blue,
Part vulture, part wolf,
Part neither -- for his blood was cold.

Thank you for your help

As I stand near the edge of the world
I look down to see all the people who stand and live
I try to call, but they don't reply
So I move along into the night
And I see the light behind me is growing dim
And yet I turn away, and head towards the edge
Ever so close, yet so long a journey
The knowledge I quest
lays there in the mist
Between the light and the dark
But I'm unable to grasp it with my fingers
As I run, I stumble
Not once, but many times
Then I see the people
whom loved, hated and pitied me
And I try to get up and turn back towards the dim light
But it is gone
And so I must walk on towards the edge
And when I reach it
The memory of friends will fill my head
And the baby that once played in the sand
is suddenly dead.

i know its a stupid idea but there are people who live in Turkey today who are native to the land but dont have any rights in it e.g. Kurds, they were born there and thier acestors lived there before the City of Sumeria, that is more than 5000 years ago. some say they are the most ancient people in the world who have continuasly lived in the same land for the past 10000 years. but today Turks who have moved there no longer than 500 years ago claim it thier land and have forced these people to change and speak Turkish language at the point of the sword. this is a very sad thing in my opinion. i think those people should live in freedom. i would like to know what is your opinion? i think the same goes for all the people that have been invaded too, they should all be given thier rightfull freedom which god has blessed them with.

I am 11 years old going on 12 but all of my friends love my stories. My teachers even reccomended going into creative writing classes because they know how much I love it. Anyways I am writing a story and I really want it published. My friend is helping me by beta-ing it and illustrating it, but I don't want it to just be one book that my friends can enjoy, I want everyone to be able to enjoy it. I am awesome at writing and I know it, but I hate saying it because I'm too modest. Can you guys tell me some places that would take me seriously? Its sci-fi/adventure just to tell you. Thank you, I don't want to self publish it either because how many great books in stores are self published?

The land of nod is an ingenious place,
Filled with creatures of every race,
As you close your eyes and drift off to sleep,
You’ll see this is where those creatures meet.
Creepy crawling into your dreams,
They’ll snatch at your clothes and rip at your seams.
One might be frightened to see such a sight,
But there are a few that scream with delight.
This place is quiet when no one’s about,
But as you sleep the demons creep out.
On to your bed they’ll bite at your toes,
Gnaw at you fingers and pick at your nose.

Hopelessly restless as you toss in your bed,
These visions will haunt you alone in your head.
Talking to yourself as you stumble about,
You’ll move to the light and try to get out.
No where to go as you’ve traveled too far,
Alas you look up to see the shine of a star.

The star shine’s so intense, as it speaks to the moon;
That you think to yourself, the end will be soon.
“The mourn will be coming” says the star light as day,
“Help this poor child, he must get away”.
“Nothing to do”, the moon shakes his head,
“This man is just lying alone in his bed”.

Visions of monsters too great to be seen,
Are filling your head, and yet you can’t scream.
The fear deep inside is welling about,
And your insides are burning with distrust and doubt.
The smoke screen is clearing and all will be known,
Through the dazzling light all will be shown.
As you run through the darkness with a chill in the air,
You can still feel the spiders swarm through your hair.
Then all of a sudden it becomes clear,
Red as blood the truth does appear.
In echo’s you hear the sounds of the voices
Speaking beyond and because of your choices
Awaken poor soldier, the day starts anew,
When evening comes we’ll be back to get you.
