A short commentary might work. I'm not looking for something too academic... but I don't want new age fluff either.

About 2 years ago i read a book but i cant for the life of me remember the name of it. The story was about a girl working at a country club and she met a boy who had cancer. Or maybe it was the other way around. im not really sure. But the boy ends up telling the girl(or vice versa) that he has cancer. Then it ends at the end of the summer and at the back of the book it says there is a sequel. The title to the sequel contained the words kiss and death but i cant remember it and it makes me so mad. its not the sweet valley high book. it is a teenage fiction book. please help

Is the story of Peter Pan copyrighted at the moment, and if so, to whom? Does it fall under Fair Use? I've been thinking of doing a comic book adaptation of it, but I'm not sure if that's legal. Does anyone know if it would be or not?

I have looked on virtually every surname database for my surname, Cerulea, and have come up with absolutely NOTHING! No record, no entry, nada. It's really upsetting. Can someone please help me out? We didn't just appear, so there has to be something out there, yeah? THANK YOU!

Truth in science centres on observation and experimentation. You make an assertion and then you attempt to prove it through observation, measurement and/or experimentation. If you are successful the assertion (hypothosis) becomes a truth. On a more day to day level we might approach the idea of truth in the same albeit less formal way. We might suspect such and such is going on and then go to certain lengths to establish that it is.

But people talk of other forms of truth. I have not set out to dispute the possibility of other forms of truth, but to learn about them. I would like a description of any other forms of truth.

I know there are a million and one questions about "books about Paganism"- but does anybody know offhand of any good books that are "old"? I'm not exactly sure what I even mean by old, just... I guess it would be cool to read something that wasn't written before the boom in the 50s, and again in the 80s and 90s, you know? I'm looking for respected literature that's a little more timeless.

Thanks in advance!

Living in Cumbria, we were talking about Lake District at work when someone asked "why did Donald Campbell choose Coniston to attempt his ill-fated water speed record instead of the likes of Windermere, Derwentwater or Bassenthwaite" anyone out there know? thanks

I'm not interested in the opinion of those who are convinced of an afterlife. I mean no disrespect by that, but I am interested in hearing the opinion of people who suspect that death is the end of sentience. To me, the fear isn't from pain or suffering after one dies, because that would be irrational. My fear is non-being, that is, this world, which is known through me, will end forever. Some people compare this to sleep, but sleep is partly dreams, and the sleeper is generally convinced after his rest that he/she will awake. My fear is the idea of never awaking again. What are your thoughts?

I'm going to district science fair on the 23rd or 24th of this month. My project was "Is my dog red/green color blind?" and I had gotten a superior on it in my city's science fair. I also got "Best In Zoology". I was thinking of ways to decorate my board and I wanted to try something different. Last time I put some wallpaper samples and things like that but I wanted to do something that would really wow the judges. My science fair board is black and my headings are red. I'm not allowed any 3-D objects infront of or on my board. Can someone give me some ideas or some websites that have ideas? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
