It is a simple and beautiful translation of the Tao te Ching.
Read it. Feel it. In a nut shell, if you think you undertand everything, then you have it wrong...it's WAY bigger than that.
And if you can;t figure out what the Tao is after reading this version, then give up. Don't try to wrestle it to the ground and label it. You weren't meant to undertand it in this lifetime.

I read the Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff. It was a cute book and it gave the basics in an interesting way (especially if you were into winny the pooh as a kid) The book is written in a conversational style (between Pooh bear and the author) so it makes it funny informative and casual which i liked. That is the only taoist book i have ever read so there fore the only one i can reccomend. good luck in your book search

The Tao of Pooh and the Te of Piglet explain it all beautifully. Read both to fully understand.
